Turning the page

Brasilia…When we arrived 4 years ago our expectations were unclear yet filled with excitement.  The information from google was not all that enticing...  a planned city, no pedestrian access, religious cults, alien sightings, dry dry dry, wet wet wet and so on.   I never would have guessed the impact that this experience would have on our lives - blessed and overwhelmed. 

To everyone we were privileged to cross paths with, to those who have become like family and of course everyone in between – Thank you.  Close to our hearts are those who have already left Brasilia and to our good friend that we lost, until our paths cross again. 


The people (and lets be honest, the weather) have made the past 4 years so incredibly significant in the timeline of our lives (and my facebook).  The opportunity we have had to travel throughout Brazil as well as some of South America and beyond was incredible.  Now to be prolonging our travels by driving home is something that we will never forget and is something that will always be entwined with our time here in Brasilia.

As sad as we are to go (and we are), I am sure as we travel north our thoughts and hearts will venture back to Brazil, but it is time to start out on our next big adventure.  To return and continue where we left off in Canada.
